It's time to break out the skinnies. According to a new research survey, skinny jeans represent more than just your sense of style; the fit of your jeans can predict how happy and confident you are.

Qualtrics, a survey platform, found that those who wear skinny jeans are 9% more likely to report high levels of happiness than those who prefer a different trend.

Fans of the fitted jeans are also 12% more likely to identify themselves as either extremely or very confident. Furthermore, if you’re from a city like Los Angeles or New York, there is a good chance you will opt for leaner denim. The same report stated how residents in big cities are twice as likely to wear skinny jeans than people living in smaller cities.

The survey also reported that 33% of people wearing skinny jeans ride motorcycles. They're more likely to sit in the aisle seat of a plane and 8% less likely to use Apple computers over PCs.
While this survey may be a compelling conversation-stater, Qualtrics hasn't provided any information on demographics or specifics of its study.
